Treasury Clerk

Adecco is currently hiring a Treasury Clerk for a full-time opportunity in Downtown Halifax, NS. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, banking, finance administration, customer service, or data entry.

As part of the Payment Processing Team, you will be responsible for processing customer payments, posting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Pay Rate: $21/hour

• Location: Halifax, NS

• Shift: 10 AM - 6:30 PM

• Job type: Temporary 3 to 6 months | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments by phone and apply transactions to accounts.

• Post and reconcile payments, including EFTs, cheques, and credit card transactions.

• Apply basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.

• Maintain accurate records and payment documentation.

• Respond to customer inquiries and redirect payment-related issues as required.

• Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Support treasury and payment processing activities while ensuring compliance with internal procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, banking, treasury, finance administration, or customer service is an asset.

• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles.

• Excellent data entry, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Strong customer service and telephone communication abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Comfortable using financial systems and databases.

• Strong computer and keyboarding skills.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
