Job description

THE JOBIntegrated Staffing is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual for a Marine Mechanic position. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining marine engines, propulsion systems, and related mechanical equipment. This role is open to candidates with varying levels of mechanical experience, with marine experience considered a strong asset. Duties will include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues, servicing equipment, conducting performance tests, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to quality standards.WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or approximately two years of mechanical experience
  • Marine mechanical experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Familiarity with mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around water
  • Must be able to follow safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques
  • Clear criminal background check required
  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots required; safety glasses can be provided by the client
  • Must dress appropriately for the weather, including layers, jeans or work pants, and a non-offensive T-shirt or sweater
