Welder/Fitter – Structural Steel

IS2 Workforce Solutions is recruiting for experienced Welder/Fitters for a steel manufacturing client in the Holland Landing area.

$27–$30/hour – Based on Experience

Shifts Available:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Afternoons: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

The Role

We are looking for 2 experienced Welder/Fitters, with a strong focus on fitting, to join a busy structural steel manufacturing environment.

Duties

• Fit and weld structural steel components using MIG welding
• Read and interpret shop drawings and welding diagrams
• Measure, position, align, and assemble steel components
• Work with custom steel components and assemblies
• Use hand tools, torches, and other fabrication equipment
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of structural steel welding and fitting experience
• Strong fitting skills and MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings
• Experience working in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable with physically demanding work
• Safety-conscious and reliable
• Overhead crane and rigging experience
• CWB certification
• TSSA tickets
• Custom steel fabrication experience
