Weekend Nanny / Family Helper – Saturdays & Sundays We are a warm, busy family of five with three children, ages 2, 4 and 6, looking for a reliable, caring and energetic nanny to join our family on weekends. Please note: This is a formal payroll position. Our nanny will be employed through payroll with all required deductions and will be paid by cheque or direct deposit. We are not able to offer cash/off-payroll arrangements, so please apply only if you are comfortable with this. We are looking for help on Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (approximately 20 hours per week). We are hoping to find someone who is interested in a consistent, longer-term weekend position. Our older two children are now involved in school and weekend activities, so the role is a combination of childcare and helping our household run smoothly. On Saturday mornings, our older children attend school, and on Sundays they often have lessons or activities. During these times, you would primarily care for our 2-year-old at home. At other times, you would help care for and supervise all three children alongside us. Responsibilities include: Providing attentive, nurturing and engaging care for our 2-year-old and helping supervise our older children as needed. Helping with the weekend morning routine and getting the children ready for activities. Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children and making sure they eat their regular meals. Helping with dinner preparation for the family. Playing with the children and keeping them engaged with age-appropriate activities. Helping with bath time and the evening routine. Tidying children's play areas. Children's laundry and putting away clothing. Light household tasks during quieter periods, such as a quick vacuum, tidying the kitchen after meals, and generally helping us keep the house organized. Occasionally caring for a child independently while one or both parents are working or out with another child. Occasionally accompanying us on family outings or activities. What we're looking for: We would love to find someone who is warm, patient and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. Our ideal candidate is proactive and comfortable seeing what needs to be done—whether that means preparing lunch, putting on a load of laundry, tidying up after the children, or taking our toddler outside to play. Previous nanny or childcare experience with toddlers and young children is important. Reliability and punctuality are essential, as we depend on our weekend nanny to allow us to manage work, children's activities and family commitments. Requirements: Previous professional childcare/nanny experience Experience caring independently for toddlers and multiple children CPR and First Aid certification Reliable and punctual Comfortable preparing children's meals and helping with light household tasks Able to provide references from at least two previous childcare positions or other relevant roles This is a part-time weekend position of approximately 20 hours per week, with regular hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is negotiable and will depend on experience. Our previous weekend nanny was with our family for approximately two years, and we are hoping to find another wonderful person who can become a consistent and trusted part of our family's weekend routine.
