This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders including Surface Land, Drilling, Environmental, Survey, Construction, Operations, and Field teams to support the planning and delivery of both Commercial and Integrated Winter Program projects.

  • Conduct value-driven economic analyses to evaluate project decisions, reduce costs, and improve efficiency

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment on project footprints, planning, scheduling, and execution while balancing competing priorities and timelines

  • Provide GIS technical expertise and develop web-based applications, field data systems, automation, and workflows to improve project planning and operational efficiency

  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and building alignment

  • Develop and maintain GIS-based applications, automation tools, and spatial workflows using desktop and web-based GIS technologies to improve earthworks planning, execution efficiency, and data quality

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through project reviews, lessons learned, and lookback processes while maintaining accurate spatial and non-spatial data

  • Ensure project execution complies with Cenovus safety practices and applicable environmental, regulatory, and industry requirements

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Degree or Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry

  • Understanding of earthworks construction practices and field execution, with knowledge of seismic industry planning, surveying, access, environmental, and regulatory considerations

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, accountability, and continuous learning skills

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
