The Chateau Lacombe is currently recruiting Part-Time Banquet Servers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly in banquet service within a full-service hotel environment. Your passion for delivering exceptional guest service and willingness to go above and beyond will contribute to making every event a success.
As a Part-Time Banquet Server, you’ll play a vital role in making every event spectacular. Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Creating Memorable Events: Setting up banquet rooms and tables to perfection – arranging linens, silverware, glassware, and décor to wow our guests.
✅ Delivering Exceptional Service: Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, serving food and beverages with precision, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.
✅ Anticipating & Responding: Staying one step ahead to deliver prompt, friendly, and personalized service – always aiming to exceed guest expectations.
✅ Working with the Team: Collaborating seamlessly with kitchen and event staff to keep everything running smoothly.
✅ Maintaining Standards: Following health, safety, and hygiene protocols to ensure a pristine environment.
✅ Wrapping It Up: Assisting with event breakdown, cleanup, and resetting for future functions.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Here’s what we’re hoping to see:
🌟 Experience: At least one year of serving experience in the hotel-hospitality industry, preferably in banquet service within a full-service hotel.
🌟 Certification: ProServe certification is a must, along with knowledge of local liquor laws.
🌟 Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences – you’re the type of person who’s always ready to go the extra mile!
🌟 Professionalism: Polished presentation and experience working in upscale environments.
🌟 Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
🌟 Team Player: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while excelling as part of a high-energy team.
🌟 Attention to Detail: The ability to juggle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
🌟 Physical Readiness: Able to lift/push/pull heavy objects between 11-25 kg (approximately 25-55 pounds) without exertion.
🌟 Flexible Availability: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment includes the following conditions: low to moderate noise levels; a high-traffic environment with frequent interaction with internal and external guests; regular use of office equipment, including computers, photocopiers and telephones; and potential exposure to challenging guest interactions and situations involving theft or security concerns.
