Our client requires a Senior Cyber Security Manager to lead a security and identity team, bringing strong hands-on Microsoft/Azure expertise to guide technical delivery, strengthen operations, and drive cybersecurity strategy.

Must Have:
8+ years of progressive IT/Security experience, including experience moving from a hands-on technical role into leadership.
3+ years leading or supervising security, identity, infrastructure security, or related technical teams; candidates currently at a Team Lead/Supervisor level ready to step into management will be considered.
Strong hands-on Microsoft and Azure security experience, with the technical depth to guide and challenge the team.
Experience managing a medium to large enterprise environment rather than primarily working within a small organization.
Strong understanding of networking and IT infrastructure, with the ability to work closely with Infrastructure and other technical leaders.
Proven ability to lead teams, work with senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and communicate security risks and priorities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Microsoft Defender, Azure security services, Entra ID/Identity, and XDR.
Experience leading both Cyber Security and Identity functions.
Experience with cybersecurity strategy development, transformation, or program optimization.
Experience working with Internal Audit, Legal, Finance, HR, or regulatory/compliance teams on security matters.
CISSP, CISM, or relevant Microsoft/Azure security certifications.
Experience working with project managers and delivering security initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8–10 across Cyber Security and Identity, providing technical direction and day-to-day leadership.
Oversee security operations, optimize team processes and capabilities, and provide hands-on technical guidance when required.
Partner closely with the Infrastructure Manager and other IT leaders on Azure, Microsoft security, networking, infrastructure, and security initiatives.
Work across Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, HR, Internal Communications, vendors, and project teams to manage security requirements, risks, and deliverables.
Help execute the organization’s security strategy reset, translating strategic priorities into practical plans, initiatives, and key deliverables.
