Aerial Field Technician (Rigger)

Reporting Manager: Site Foreman
Employment Type: Full-Time, Project-Driven (Paid Weekly)
Home Base: Spruce Grove or Calgary, Alberta (Note: Extensive nationwide travel is a mandatory component of this position).

About the Role
Do you have a knack for mechanics, a high level of physical fitness, and a desire to elevate your professional trajectory? We are currently partnering with an industry-leading client to recruit four (4) dedicated Aerial Field Technicians for their rapidly expanding Wireless Division.

As a crucial member of this team, you will be instrumental in the construction and ongoing upkeep of Canada's vital wireless networks. This means confidently executing high-altitude technical enhancements and embracing a lifestyle of extensive travel throughout Alberta and across the nation.

Advantages
Exceptional Compensation: Earn between $27.00 and $41.00 per hour if based in Spruce Grove, or $22.00 to $41.00 per hour out of Calgary (commensurate with your expertise).

Reliable Weekly Income & Overtime: Enjoy the financial stability of weekly direct deposits, plus lucrative daily overtime premiums applied after your first 8 hours of work.

Generous Per Diems: Receive a Living Out Allowance (LOA) of approximately $200 per day to cover your expenses whenever you are deployed on the road.

Gear Subsidy: Kick off your employment with a $200 allowance specifically for CSA-approved work boots.

Robust Perks Package: Gain access to extensive health insurance and a competitive RRSP matching program following a 6-month probationary period.

Inclusive Environment: Thrive in a workplace that champions diversity, prioritizes uncompromising safety standards, and celebrates your grit and dedication.

Responsibilities
Execute the flawless installation, ongoing preventative maintenance, and technological upgrading of cellular sites and communication towers.

Safely and efficiently manage complex antenna additions and structural modifications while suspended at significant elevations.

Expertly troubleshoot, repair, or swap out faulty telecommunications hardware mounted on elevated structures.

Run comprehensive diagnostic assessments on network equipment to pinpoint and rectify any signal transmission disruptions.

Accurately read, analyze, and apply technical instructions from engineered blueprints, fiber optic layouts, and DC electrical diagrams.

Commit to rigorous safety standards while operating in challenging, unpredictable outdoor climates and weather systems.

Mobilize for extended periods, traveling widely across the province and throughout Canada based on dynamic project demands.

Qualifications
Professional Background: You bring a minimum of two (2) years of solid construction industry experience, demonstrating high proficiency in handling industrial tools and equipment.

Specialized Expertise: You possess a working understanding of fiber fusion splicing and OTDR testing devices. You can confidently decipher complex engineered blueprints and DC/fiber schematics. (Prior experience troubleshooting telecom networks is highly advantageous, though not strictly mandatory).

Physical Capabilities: You maintain excellent physical stamina, have zero hesitation operating at extreme heights, and are fully prepared to tackle demanding manual labor in diverse, year-round weather conditions.

Compliance & Licensing: You hold a valid Canadian driver's license backed by an impeccable driver's abstract. You are comfortable passing a comprehensive criminal background screening and mandatory Drug & Alcohol (D&A) tests dictated by specific site regulations. You possess legal authorization to work within Canada.

Core Character Traits: You are inherently mechanically minded, fiercely reliable, and steadfastly committed to safety. You communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) and foster a collaborative, upbeat team dynamic.
