Job description

A unique time and place in health care philanthropy

Join one of British Columbia’s preeminent foundations driving a comprehensive campaign for transformational giving to support innovative, compassionate care across Providence and across British Columbia.

Annual Salary Range: Range $63,000 to $83,000. Expected Hiring Range $65,000 to $75,000
Employment Type: **18-Month Term Contract, Full-Time
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office per week)
Reporting Manager: Manager, Personal Giving

Role Overview

As part of a dynamic team advancing philanthropic support across Providence Health Care, this role contributes directly to funding critical medical departments, clinical programs, research initiatives, and patient care priorities.

Key responsibilities include stewarding and growing an established portfolio of Annual Giving donors while supporting a comprehensive acquisition strategy to expand the donor community. The role requires balancing both digital and traditional fundraising channels, leveraging integrated campaigns to maximize engagement, strengthen donor relationships, and drive revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and execution of annual giving, tribute, and grateful patient/family strategies aligned with Foundation priorities.
• Coordinate and grow tribute giving programs, including in-memory, in-honour, and grateful patient/family initiatives, along with related online pages, funeral home outreach, and hospital materials.
• Deliver timely, sensitive donor and family communications, including acknowledgments and tribute notifications, ensuring a high-quality donor experience.
• Implement initiatives to increase participation, repeat giving, and long-term engagement within tribute and grateful family programs.
• Respond to grateful patient inquiries, identify prospects, and support donor communications and pipeline development.
• Track, analyze, and report on program performance and budgets, using insights to inform improvements and achieve targets.
• Maintain accurate donor records in Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Support donor stewardship and recognition efforts in collaboration with internal teams, including fulfillment of acknowledgment and recognition commitments.
• Contribute to planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Steward a portfolio of annual donors ($250–$999), focusing on retention, renewals, and upgrades to mid-level or recurring giving.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform other related duties as required.


Qualifications & Experience
• Successful completion of postsecondary education in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline, required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing and/or communications, required.
• Experience in a non-profit or healthcare environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting high-volume, multi-channel content development while maintaining brand voice and consistency.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support timely delivery of work.
• Understanding of branding, design principles, and print and digital production processes; video editing experience is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Marq, Mailchimp, and Monday.com is considered an asset.
