Job description

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support
  • Strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration
  • Experience with hypervisors such as Proxmox and/or Hyper-V
  • Practical networking knowledge, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, WiFi, and basic firewall administration
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint protection and backup/recovery tools such as SentinelOne and Veeam, or similar platforms
  • Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting
  • Preferred: experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Preferred: Fortinet firewall administration experience
  • Preferred: Zscaler administration experience
  • Preferred: Linux server administration experience
  • Preferred: Microsoft SQL Server administration experience
  • Preferred: experience with PDQ Deploy & Inventory
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented approach to documentation
  • Self-directed, curious, and able to manage priorities effectively
Responsibilities:
  • Administer our Windows Server domain, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Operate and maintain our virtualization platforms, including Proxmox and Hyper-V, along with the workloads hosted on them
  • Configure and support our network environment, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, WiFi, routing, and switching
  • Keep IP address management and infrastructure documentation current in NetBox
  • Administer Linux servers in parallel with our Windows environment
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery using Veeam, including regular restoration testing
  • Oversee endpoint protection and threat detection through SentinelOne
  • Administer Zscaler web security and Zero Trust access policies
  • Maintain Fortinet firewalls and related network security appliances
  • Lead patch management and improve security hygiene across our systems
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including SSO, conditional access, and policy settings
  • Handle user onboarding, offboarding, and periodic access reviews
  • Support workstations throughout their hardware and operating system lifecycle
  • Deploy and maintain software using PDQ Deploy & Inventory
  • Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
  • Provide excellent customer support to end users
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks
  • Administer Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases
  • Document configurations, procedures, and runbooks to preserve operational knowledge
  • Contribute to IT projects and cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery
