About Our Medical Craft As the single largest medical team integrated across a single agency, the Medical team uncovers scientific truth through our broad expertise in science and regulatory, medical strategy, medical communications, and value, access and reimbursement. The Medical team assumes responsibility for understanding the clinical aspects in depth to discover unique offerings and believes in the importance of shaping the brand-building process as early as possible: forming the scientific narrative, the language included in the label, and identifying where the brand plays in the buying process.

Job Description Integrated Medical Engagement (IME) is a strategic operating model that helps life sciences organizations move beyond tactic-driven medical communications toward connected, measurable healthcare professional engagement ecosystems. The Medical Communications Director, Integrated Medical Engagement will play a key role in shaping and delivering this evolving capability across client engagements and business development opportunities. Working closely with medical, strategy, analytics, and client service teams, this individual will help design engagement systems that drive meaningful HCP behavior change while contributing directly to the growth of the Integrated Medical Engagement practice.

What You'll Do

Lead integrated HCP engagement strategy development across medical communications programs, incorporating omnichannel engagement planning, journey design, and stakeholder ecosystem mapping.

Design measurable engagement frameworks, KPIs, and optimization plans using performance data, analytics, and behavioral impact indicators to improve HCP engagement outcomes.

Facilitate client workshops, strategic planning sessions, and executive presentations that translate scientific objectives into integrated engagement recommendations.

Develop and evolve Integrated Medical Engagement service offerings, frameworks, methodologies, and tools that integrate with medical communications planning and scientific content development processes.

Contribute to new business pitches, capability presentations, thought leadership initiatives, and strategic proposals that support revenue growth and market differentiation.

Qualifications Required:

10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical medical communications, medical affairs, or medical education with demonstrated responsibility for strategic engagement planning.

5+ years developing HCP engagement strategies within the U.S. life sciences market, including omnichannel programs spanning multiple channels, touchpoints, and stakeholder groups.

Experience defining engagement KPIs, interpreting digital performance metrics, and delivering optimization recommendations based on measurable engagement outcomes.

Demonstrated success leading client-facing strategic discussions, workshops, or executive presentations for pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare clients.

Experience developing integrated medical communications plans, engagement frameworks, strategic narratives, or customer experience strategies that influenced business or scientific objectives.

Ability to contribute to business development initiatives through pitch participation, proposal development, thought leadership, or capability-building activities.

Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.

Experience within a medical communications agency environment supporting pharmaceutical or biotechnology clients.

Experience applying customer journey mapping, ecosystem planning, or behavioral science principles to healthcare professional engagement strategies.

Experience collaborating with medical strategy, scientific communications, analytics, and client service teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Advanced scientific, healthcare, or business degree such as PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, or MBA.

Experience contributing to industry thought leadership through publications, conference presentations, POVs, or market-facing content.

Additional Information This posting is for a newly created role at Klick.

The base salary range for this position is between CAD $145,000-175,000K. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
