Job Description As an HSE Manager, reporting to the Area Manager and the Director of HSE, you will support the administration of the internal HSE program and ensure compliance with the Corporate Safety Management System. You will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the business unit's HSE program and managing key documentation, including manuals, client correspondence, and internal and external reports.

What would you be doing?

Guide leaders, managers, subcontractors, and internal/external parties in identifying and addressing safety issues while developing coaching approaches and training plans aligned with a strong safety culture.

Produce, maintain, and update internal/external health and safety records, compliance trackers, and reports, ensuring accurate documentation.

Collaborate with District Managers to ensure compliance with the company’s HSE program and consistent application of A&D requirements.

Track and report monthly safety statistics and KPIs, audit field operations for compliance, and attend safety meetings and team huddles as required.

Lead the creation and implementation of safety deliverables, such as the Environmentally Safe Driving Framework, Short Service Worker Program, and Competency Program.

Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and experience with WCB practices, processes, and Occupational Health and Safety legislation across Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan.

Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated competency in incident management processes, including reporting, corrective actions, investigation, analysis, and closure.

10 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety leadership, with preferred certifications such as CSP, CRSP, or an Occupational Health and Safety certificate; ACSA COR Auditor certification is an asset.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and ensure compliance with Employment Standards and OH&S Acts, Regulations, and Codes.

Additional Information As a condition of employment, qualified applicants who accept the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of a combination of a Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification, and an Education and Accreditation Verification.

The purpose of the TRAITS Survey tool is to assist ClearWater in understanding individuals' behaviours and supporting the best use of their strengths, abilities, and potential.

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
