This role is ideal for someone who not only excels in technical execution but also thrives in leading projects and mentoring others.

As a Data Scientist II, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end data science projects—from idea inception and partner engagement to technical design, development, evaluation, and deployment—demonstrating initiative, ownership, and the ability to drive results independently.

  • Strong knowledge of data extraction, exploration and tools such as Python, Spark and SQL is also required.

Position Information:

The Corporate Actuarial department has responsibility for the estimation of ICBC’s claims reserves, determining future claims trends, financial reporting, and capital adequacy testing to determine ICBC’s internal capital management MCT targets.

As a valued member of the ICBC team, you will thrive in a performance-driven environment that emphasizes employee leadership and accountability for delivering results. Anticipate a comprehensive total reward package and a challenging work environment.

  • Additional optional insurance coverages.
  • Only candidates legally entitled to work in Canada will be considered for this position.
