The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join a dynamic team and support the delivery of diverse construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective project execution, documentation, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with pre-construction planning, procurement, and scheduling.
Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
Maintain and distribute project documentation including progress reports, meeting minutes, and site instructions.
Support cost tracking, budget updates, and progress payment applications.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and project quality standards.
Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution.
Support close-out procedures, including deficiency tracking and turnover documentation.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in a Project Coordinator role within a general contracting environment (previous GC experience required).
Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code and relevant construction regulations.
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or equivalent) is an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
