Job description

Your mission

  • Serve as Pilot‑in‑Command on multi‑engine, sensor‑equipped aircraft for maritime patrol, fisheries protection, SAR support, and public safety surveillance.
  • Plan and execute low‑level coastal and over‑water operations while maintaining the highest standards of airmanship, situational awareness, and crew coordination.
  • Lead a multi‑crew environment, coordinating with mission system operators, ATC, and agency partners to deliver precise, actionable outcomes.
  • Apply robust risk management: performance, fuel, weather, terrain/obstacle, and mission constraints; adhere to SOPs and safety management systems.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, flight records, and mission documentation; contribute to continuous improvement and standardization.
  • Participate in recurrent training, simulations, and exercises to sustain readiness for short‑notice tasking as required.

Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 3,500 hours
  • PIC time: 1,000 hours
  • Multi‑engine: 500 hours
  • Flight time notes: 500 hours multi‑engine on aircraft type (or similar) and 500 hours low‑level flight time
  • License required: ATPL
  • Accepted licenses: TCCA
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Type rating: Not required; full training provided (NTR)

Training and progression

  • Comprehensive aircraft and mission systems conversion, including over‑water and low‑level procedures.
  • Line indoctrination with training captains and dedicated CRM for multi‑crew, sensor‑led operations.
  • Ongoing recency, simulator events, and standardization checks to keep you current and confident.
