Dining Room Supervisor – Sinbad’s Hotel & Suites

Founded in 1970, Steele Hotels is an independent hotel operator based out of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include 8 properties located in St. John’s, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.

Steele Hotels is looking for a Dining Room Supervisor to join its growing team at Sinbad’s Hotel & Suites in Gander, NL. The ideal candidate would possess a positive “can-do” attitude, and a high level of professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic and customer service skills. This often involves working in fast-paced environment conditions at varying times throughout the day or night. The Dining Room Supervisor will report directly to the Manager of Sinbad’s Hotel and Suites and take a leading management role when required. As part of this role, the Dining Room Supervisor will serve as the Manager on Duty every second weekend.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise all dining room and banquet staff following performance management guidelines

· Providing excellent and timely customer service while greeting and serving guests

· Complete weekly scheduling of service staff

· Train all serving staff on all procedures, policies and requirements for their role

· Preparing inventory and month end count and control

· Ensure all stations are stocked and maintained

· Cover manager on duty responsibilities every other weekend and when required

· Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

· Supervisory experience an asset

· Exceptional communication and organization skills

· Organized with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
