Job descriptionExperienced Nanny for Our Toddler (15 months) We're looking for a warm, experienced nanny to care for our 15-month-old son, with the goal of building a lasting relationship — our current nanny has been with us for nearly a year, and we're hoping to find someone who can fill her shoes and become just as trusted a part of our son's life. 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟏 (𝟏 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞): 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟕 – 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎 Full-time, Monday–Friday 10am-6pm. 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟐 (𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏): 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤-𝐛𝐲-𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 Starting October 1, the role continues 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌-𝒃𝒚-𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌, with hours depending on daycare placement — likely evenings/weekends once he's placed, or full-time if placement is delayed. Compensation and hourly rate depends on experience. 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 Basic English 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 At least 2 years of nanny experience. Must have at least 3 referrals. Of those 1 must be Canadian. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Employer's home 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 & 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 Change diapers and manage naptime/rest routines Follow parents' guidance on potty training Bathe and dress child Supervise and provide attentive, hands-on care throughout the day Support emotional well-being and social-emotional development Maintain a safe, stimulating home environment (e.g., engaging in play, reading books, age-appropriate games) 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩 Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks on schedule/on time Sterilize bottles and prepare formula/milk as needed Ensure food is prepared safely to prevent choking (appropriate size/texture for age) Track feeding schedule and dietary needs 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 & 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Plan age-appropriate activities, games, and sensory play Organize outings (park visits, playdates, library visits) Dress child appropriately for weather during outings Support early learning through reading, music, and exploration 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 (𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝-𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝) Light housekeeping tied to childcare (tidying play areas, washing bottles/dishes, laundering child's items) — can be done during child's naps/sleep, with child's needs always taking priority Assume full responsibility for household in parents' absence 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Keep daily log of activities, meals, naps, and health/behavioral notes Communicate regularly with parents on milestones or concerns 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 Criminal record check 3 references required, at least 1 from Canadian childcare experience Current CPR and First Aid certification (infant/child) Safe food handling knowledge 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 Initiative, organization, reliability is a must.
