Job description
Child Caregiver / Nanny (Live-In or Live-Out) – Caledon, ON We are a friendly family in Caledon looking for a reliable and caring child caregiver for our two school-aged children (ages 8 and 6). We are open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. Live-In Accommodation (Optional): A fully furnished private basement space is available, including: - Private bedroom - Private bathroom - Living room with TV for downtime Please Note: Our home is located at Mount Hope Road and Old Church Road, Caledon. There is no public transit available, so applicants must have their own reliable transportation if applying for the live-out position. Responsibilities Morning Routine - Help the children get ready for school. - Walk them to the school bus stop, which is located at our front gate. Household Duties (While Children Are at School) - Prepare healthy, nutritious meals for the family. - Clean and maintain the kitchen. - Load and unload the dishwasher. - Clean and organize the children's bedrooms. - Complete the family's laundry once a week, including washing, folding, and putting clothes away. After School - Meet the children at the school bus on time. - Prepare and serve a healthy snack. - Help with homework, including reading and math. - Get the children ready for outdoor activities or extracurriculars. Requirements - Experience caring for school-aged children. - Knowledge of healthy meal planning and cooking. - Strong English skills, including the ability to assist with reading and elementary math homework. - Valid background check. - Excellent references. - Reliable, dependable, and organized.
