Job description

Our client, a leading enterprise organization, is seeking an organized, analytical Project Manager II to support strategic portfolio governance, planning, and execution.

In this key consulting role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining governance frameworks, tracking performance metrics, and creating executive-ready reporting structures that enable transparency and drive decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help translate overarching business goals into actionable project plans, manage interdependencies, mitigate operational risks, and optimize resource allocations. This position is ideal for an energetic Project Manager or Senior Business Analyst who pairs strong financial business case development and requirements gathering skills with top-tier executive presentation and stakeholder management abilities.

Duration: 3-Month Contract (with potential for extension)

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (5 days per week on-site at the corporate office)

Advantages
High Executive Visibility: Direct responsibility for designing executive-ready dashboards, presentations, and strategic recommendations presented to senior leadership.

Portfolio-Level Scope: Influence broad operational strategies by tracking interdependencies, evaluating capability enhancements, and optimizing resource allocation across programs.

Strategic Thought Leadership: Apply critical thinking to analyze business capabilities, identify operational efficiencies, and support long-term sustainable growth.

Dynamic Environment: Enhance your project delivery profile within a structured, fast-paced enterprise setting.

Responsibilities
Governance, Planning & Execution
Framework Development: Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, standard operating processes, and reporting structures to monitor program performance and enable transparent decision-making.

Portfolio Planning: Lead overall portfolio planning and execution rhythms—establishing team cadences, mapping interdependencies, identifying risks, and optimizing resource distribution.

Actionable Roadmaps: Translate high-level business goals into structured, actionable project plans; track milestones, adjust delivery strategies as needed, and ensure continuous alignment with long-term objectives.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment
Executive Deliverables: Design, build, and present polished, executive-ready dashboards and briefing materials that clearly communicate progress, key insights, and actionable recommendations.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships between business units and senior executives to influence outcomes and ensure strategic alignment.

Business Case & Financials: Assist in developing structured business cases, gathering detailed requirements, and conducting financial analyses to justify strategic investments and capability upgrades.

Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: Respond effectively to changing priorities and ambiguous requirements, staying informed on industry trends to continuously evolve program strategies.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of progressive professional experience operating as a Project Manager, Associate PM, or Business Analyst within an enterprise environment.

Business Case & Financial Literacy: Direct experience building formal business cases, gathering technical/functional requirements, and analyzing project financials.

Education: Post-secondary education required (University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Technology, or a related field).

Communication & Presentation: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to synthesize complex project data into executive-ready presentations.

Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities; strong time management, documentation, and organizational skills; self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented with high stakeholder management acumen.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Prior project management or analytical experience within a large enterprise or Tier-1 financial institution.

Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or working toward designation.

Summary
If you are a tech-savvy, highly organized Project Manager II who pairs an absolute command of governance frameworks, business cases, and requirements gathering with the executive reporting skills needed to align senior stakeholders, this 3-month onsite contract is an outstanding opportunity.
