About the Company

We are an established Canadian company with a diversified national portfolio and a growing operations footprint. We are focused on growth, operational excellence, and delivering value to the customers and communities we serve.

We are building a future-focused organization powered by purpose, performance, and people. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a national presence, we offer an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as we continue to grow.

About the Role

We are seeking an HR Business Partner to support our Manufacturing Operations Facilities, reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner. You will guide leaders and employees through employee relations, investigations, leadership and employee development, and change management. Building key relationships with the Operations team, you’ll provide coaching, advice, and innovative HR solutions to achieve business objectives.

Role Requirements

  • Confident in HR abilities and comfortable liaising with stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Proactive approach and ownership mentality, willing to support both administrative tasks and complex initiatives.
  • Critical skills include professional discretion, confidentiality, problem-solving, organization, time management, and adaptability.

Scope of Role

  • Act as the primary HR contact for assigned facilities, supporting Operations and Facility Managers, leaders, and employees.
  • Provide employee relations support, conduct objective investigations into workplace claims, and advise on legislative compliance to reduce risk.
  • Guide performance management, including coaching, development, disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Support OH&S, disability and leaves management, return-to-work, and workplace accommodation.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and programs, and deliver related training.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and culture across the facilities.
  • Track HR metrics and employee-lifecycle documentation, providing insights to inform decisions.
  • Support broader HR initiatives as needed, including HR projects, total rewards, diversity and inclusion, and staying current on employment legislation.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3-5 years in a Human Resources role.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation for multiple provinces.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with HR databases, and Microsoft Office.
  • Must pass a basic security clearance.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for travel to facilities.

Required Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • HR and business acumen with the ability to deliver solutions.
  • Confident working with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Professional, resilient, and capable of influencing positive change.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to customer service and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Skilled in articulating complex issues and leading difficult conversations.
  • Willingness to learn the business and its history.
  • Accessibility and flexibility to work outside normal hours as needed.

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources (diploma/degree)
  • CPHR designation or working towards it is an asset.

What We Offer

  • A competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
