This posting is for an existing vacancy for which we are actively recruiting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required by the position.Responsibilities: Technical supervision of design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable systemsOversee planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are on time and within scopeCollaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize tasksMonitor Progress, identify risks and implement strategiesLead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and career developmentSet clear goals and expectations, conducting regular performance reviews and feedback sessionsPromote a collaborative, inclusive, and high performing team cultureEnsure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirementsDrive continuous improvement within the engineering teamDefine and refine engineering processes to improve efficiency and qualityUses initiative and judgement in resolving problems, interprets engineering specifications, obtaining and analyzing data and designWork closely with business leaders to align engineering initiatives with organizational objectivesSolve problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignmentsQualifications: Completion of a four-year University Degree in Mechanical Engineering10+ years of related working experience in a design consulting environment is considered an asset, ideally with 2-3 years in a leadership roleRegistered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in OntarioMust be able to obtain a federal security clearanceAbility to balance hands‐on technical contributions with leader responsibilitiesShould be able and willing to occasionally travel to other office locations and client sites/locations as requiredWork experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a nuclear environment, working on Ontario Power Generation or Bruce Power projects is considered an asset.Specific knowledge in piping, and specifically alloyed piping in terms of definition, specification, calculation, sourcing, prefabrication and assembly will be considered an assetKnowledge of related disciplines, i.E. Civil/Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls is requiredDemonstrate ability to be flexible, adaptable and work under tight schedules in a fast‐paced environmentCompensation: The expected annual compensation range for this position is $130,000-$170,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.Additional Information A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.
