We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing & Brand Manager to lead the evolution of our brand across all platforms. This role is ideal for a high-level marketing professional who understands luxury experiences, adventure culture, and the power of compelling storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Leadership

• Execute a comprehensive, year-round marketing and communications strategy aligned with business goals.

• Execute a comprehensive marketing budget.

• Own the Island Lake Lodge brand identity, ensuring consistency and excellence across all guest and public-facing materials.

• Serve as the brand gatekeeper—maintaining the look, tone, and feel across all channels.

• Shape our storytelling and messaging that reflects our truly unique backcountry mountain destination—and the world-class service and unforgettable guest experiences we deliver.

Campaigns & Content

• Lead the planning, creation, and rollout of seasonal marketing campaigns for winter cat skiing and summer lodge operations.

• Oversee photo shoots, video, and storytelling assets.

• Create and manage the communications plan including newsletters, email marketing, guest updates, and PR outreach.

• Write and edit website and print content as needed—ensuring clarity, alignment with voice, and luxury positioning.
  

Digital Marketing

• Manage website content, structure, and performance, including coordination of SEO/SEM strategy.

• Monitor and track key metrics, website traffic and paid ad performance to assess ROI and drive continuous improvement.

• Oversee digital advertising, paid social, and influencer/media collaborations.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with departmental managers to align marketing with business objectives and guest journey touchpoints.

• Collaborate with external contractors (graphic designers, videographers, media buyers, influencers, etc.) to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of projects.

• Coordinate guest communication tools such as welcome packages, menus, signage, and on-site messaging in collaboration with Sales & Reservations and lodge managers.

• Support with special branding and capital planning projects that require visual storytelling or brand positioning input.

• Lead community engagement and local partnerships that enhance Island Lake Lodge’s brand visibility and reputation in Fernie and the Elk Valley. Act as a public-facing ambassador at community events and in industry networks.

Qualifications & Attributes

• 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in luxury tourism, adventure travel, hospitality, lifestyle, or outdoor industries.

• Strong creative sensibility with a sharp visual eye and understanding of premium content aesthetics.

• Proven success managing marketing campaigns from strategy through execution, ideally in a multi-season or resort-based operation.

• Excellent writing, copywriting, and editing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, contractors, and performance metrics.

• Proficient in managing and updating CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and social media management software.

• Experience with media relations, partnerships, and influencer strategy is a strong asset.

• Familiarity with SEO/SEM strategies, digital marketing analytics, and ROI tracking.

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across departments.
