About Mount Milligan Mine

Located approximately 155 km northwest of Prince George in central BC, Mount Milligan is a conventional truck‑shovel open‑pit copper and gold mine, with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant. The site offers comfortable camp accommodations with private washrooms, TV, Wi‑Fi, an onsite gym and other recreational facilities, as well as free bus transportation from several regional locations.

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor, Mine Operations to join our Mount Milligan Mine team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan and lead the safe operation of all mine mobile equipment throughout the shift.
• Coordinate mine operations activities with other departments and contractors.
• Train and develop a diverse workforce in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Provide effective leadership to build a strong employee culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the development of operating procedures.
• Ensure high quality and production standards.
• Create a safe working environment for the team.
• Capture, validate and record mine site data through the modular mining system.
• Complete shift and production reports efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Serve as central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events.

About You

• 5 years supervisory experience in a hard‑rock mining setting preferred.
• Current British Columbia Shift Boss Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain crew motivation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Self‑motivated team player with a positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• MineStar experience considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• Camp‑based role; 12‑hour shifts on a 14‑day on, 14‑day off rotation, with accommodation provided during rotation.
• Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, heavy equipment, noise, and moving parts.
• PPE always required.
• Safety‑sensitive environment with zero‑tolerance drug and alcohol policy.
• Bus transportation provided from regional locations.
