Kelly Services is looking for a General Shop Machinist – Full Time – Brampton, ON

Pay Range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

About the Role

As a General Shop Machinist, you’ll be machining and assembling components used in industrial equipment. You’ll work with raw and pre?fabricated materials, verify dimensions, and ensure every part meets tight tolerances and quality standards. This role is perfect for someone who values accuracy, craftsmanship, and a clean, organized workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Machine parts using manual machining equipment
• Verify material suitability before machining
• Read and interpret fabrication and machining drawings
• Measure and confirm finished dimensions to required tolerances
• Assemble machined components when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report issues
• Work with production and design teams to resolve machining or drawing concerns

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Completion of a machining program (college or industrial institute)
• Strong understanding of machining operations and tolerances
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High accuracy with measurements and attention to detail
• Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of safe working practices; WHMIS trained
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
