Description:
Philosophy often begins with a puzzle or paradox. Zeno of Elea seemed to give a convincing argument that motion was impossible, but people continue to move. The "liar's paradox" seems to show that everything is both true and false, but that cannot be right. In this course, we will examine how puzzles and paradoxes drive philosophical inquiry into their solutions.

Qualifications:
Duties and responsibilities: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
Appointment Dates: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026
Note: All positions involve completion of any course grading not already finished by December, 2026.
