At Enbridge, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable energy while driving financial excellence and innovation. We are seeking a Patrol Helicopter Pilot to join our dedicated Aviation team in Sarnia, Ontario. You’ll play a pivotal role in meeting regulatory requirements and protecting communities by conducting aerial pipeline patrols across our North American network. As Pilot-in-Command, you’ll combine technical flying expertise with good judgment and a safety-first mentality to ensure our aircraft and operations are implemented to the highest standards—every flight, every day.

Apply today to join Enbridge's Aviation Services Team!

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as Helicopter Pilot-in-Command (PIC), with ultimate authority and responsibility for the safe, legal operation of Company aircraft.

  • Ensure the safety of the aircraft, all people on board, and exercising final authority on all flight-related decisions.

  • Authorize flights only when satisfied that all safety, regulatory, mechanical, weather, fuel, and weight & balance requirements are met.

  • Comply with all applicable regulations and Company policies, including Safety Management System (SMS) practices and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transport Canada, Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA), and customs requirements.

  • Conduct required passenger safety briefings and delegate crew duties in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual.

  • Support Company operations, maintenance, training, and special flight activities (e.g., pipeline surveillance) as directed by the Chief Pilot.

Who You Are:

  • Able to work in Canada as per federal, provincial and Company requirements and regulations.

  • No previous personal or work history that would preclude transborder operations.

  • Valid Canadian passport.

  • Valid Transport Canada Commercial Rotary Wing Pilot License.

  • Must maintain a valid Canadian Class-1 Medical.

  • Must hold or be able to obtain Airbus AS350B3e type training.

  • Minimum of 2500 hours of total time rotary wing experience.

  • 3 years of rotary wing experience is preferred.

  • Corporate rotary wing and/or Pipeline patrol experience would be an asset.

  • Strong Crew Resource Management (CRM) and communication skills; works professionally and collaboratively in high‑pressure operational environments.

  • Careful and safety-focused, with a dedication to accuracy and flight operations excellence.

  • Motivated, engaged teammate who supports passenger services and the needs of a corporate flight operation.

Working Conditions:

  • This job requires substantial piloting skills and quick, accurate decision-making ability.

  • All skills and techniques could be called upon at once and require flawless performance.

  • Emergency, potentially stressful situations involving Company aircraft in response to pipeline accidents or incidents will require calm and sound judgment about operations, planning, and administrative duties.

  • Operations will be in various weather conditions. Pipeline patrols are to be conducted in day Visual Flight Rules (VFR) weather conditions with some Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) repositioning and night flights.

  • Safety-rated, protective eyewear will be worn while conducting patrol operations.

  • Use of appropriate, additional safety equipment is mandatory while performing the duties of this position.

  • Air crew are to be cognizant of their health and physical fitness with regards to the ability and dexterity level required to perform the role of patrol pilot. This may require self-initiative and an understanding of personal stress levels associated with this job.

  • Sensory requirements and risk exposure include caution when working on the hangar floor with aircraft fuel and hydraulic fluid and with other aerial contaminants produced by or used around aircraft.

  • Flights may be conducted at any time, 24/7; however, the Chief Pilot, working in conjunction with the Flight Operations Center (FOC), will supervise crew scheduling to ensure that the work available is assigned to pilots in such a manner as to permit planning as far in advance as possible so as not to exceed limitations specified in the Company Flight Operations Manual.

  • Work schedule is based on operational requirements, which will necessitate weekend, evening, and/or holiday work times.

  • Scheduled Days Off (SDOs), vacation allocation and work schedule are to be communicated regularly with Chief Pilot, Operations, and Maintenance staff.

  • Duty times range up to 14 hours or as specified in the Enbridge Flight Operations Manual.

  • Efficient use of working hours and careful planning and consistent communication with other operations staff members and maintenance is a necessity.

  • Must live within a 2-hour drive to Enbridge Sarnia hangar.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $100,000 – $135,000 CAD for Canadian locations (except Alberta) based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.

Benefits:

  • A flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance and disability.

  • A paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.

  • Valuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.

  • Paid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays.

  • An Employee and Family Assistance Program.

  • A Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.
