As a Bilingual Loan Processor Specialist, Secured, you will play a critical role in supporting the secured lending process by reviewing applications, assessing risk, and ensuring lending decisions are made in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will partner closely with branch teams and internal stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant lending decisions while maintaining a high level of customer and business support.

A day in the life of a Bilingual Loan Processor Specialist, Secured :

  • Review and approve secured lending applications in accordance with company policies and delegated lending authority.
  • Analyze applicant information, supporting documentation, and credit profiles to make informed lending decisions.
  • Verify and validate key application details, including income, employment, pay statements, credit bureau information, and loan qualification calculations.
  • Ensure requested loan amounts align with qualified lending limits and company guidelines.
  • Assess properties to ensure they meet established secured lending requirements.
  • Issue final mortgage and secured lending approvals in accordance with policy.
  • Provide clear and professional rationale to branch teams regarding loan decisions, including approvals, declines, and conditional requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from sales and branch staff regarding application status, underwriting decisions, and exception requests.
  • Identify potential fraudulent applications or documentation and escalate findings to the appropriate departments for investigation.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying training opportunities, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Gather and communicate feedback from branch partners to help improve the lending experience and streamline processes.
  • Review and approve property appraisals, where qualified and required

What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French, with the ability to effectively support and influence stakeholders across the retail network.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of secured lending and mortgage underwriting principles is preferred.
  • Understanding of the mortgage origination process, from application through funding and closing, is considered an asset.
  • Ability to identify risk indicators and potential fraud concerns during the application review process.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to compliance, quality, and policy adherence.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and embrace evolving business needs.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., including rotational Saturdays, to support customers and branches across Canada.

We are offering $44,200.00 - $54,392.00/year CAD for this role, plus the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses.
