Millwright (433A) – Night Shift – Scarborough, ON
A food manufacturing facility in Scarborough, Ontario is seeking a skilled Millwright (433A) to join its Maintenance & Engineering team. This is a full-time Night Shift role supporting continuous, efficient production through preventive maintenance and responsive troubleshooting.
Shift & Compensation
Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday
Hours: 10:30pm – 6:30am
Hourly Rate: $44.20/hr + night shift premium
Role Overview
The Millwright will work as part of a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting safe, efficient production in a regulated food environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify failures.
Perform and document preventive maintenance using manual and computerized systems.
Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and production control systems.
Adjust and calibrate weighing systems, metal detectors, printers, and labeling equipment.
Perform welding and basic machine fabrication.
Support production and engineering teams while following all safety requirements.
Operate and perform basic repairs on packaging equipment.
Qualifications
433A Millwright License
3–5 years of hands?on experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, pet food, specialty chemical, or similar production environments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multi?tasking skills.
Ability to work onsite in Scarborough five days per week.
Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in Canada (no sponsorship available).
Preferred Attributes
Trade certification or related technical education.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
Continuous improvement mindset and strong ability to drive action.
