Job description
We are a warm and welcoming family living in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood, seeking an experienced, nurturing, and reliable Ukrainian-speaking nanny to help care for our infant daughter on a part-time, live-out basis. We are both young professionals and are looking for someone who can become a trusted and positive part of our daughter’s early development. Our ideal candidate has significant experience caring for infants and is passionate about supporting early childhood development through play, reading, music, and meaningful interaction. We are specifically seeking a nanny who will communicate exclusively in Ukrainian with our daughter to help support her language development and cultural connection. Activities may include reading Ukrainian books, singing songs, playing games, and engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities in Ukrainian. Responsibilities include: • Providing attentive and development-focused care for our infant daughter • Speaking exclusively in Ukrainian with our child during working hours • Reading stories, singing songs, and engaging in interactive play • Supporting age-appropriate developmental milestones • Light housekeeping related to the child • Occasional meal preparation and kitchen assistance as needed • Maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment Qualifications: • Previous infant-care or nanny experience is required • Fluent Ukrainian speaker • Reliable, trustworthy, and caring personality • CPR/First Aid certification is a strong asset • Early childhood education experience is an asset • Experience supporting language immersion in young children is highly valued Schedule: This is a part-time position. We are flexible regarding specific days and hours and can discuss scheduling with the successful candidate. We anticipate needing regular weekly support. Start Date: We are looking to hire as soon as we find the right candidate and are flexible on the exact start date. Interview Process: Our process will include an introductory phone or video call, followed by an in-person meeting and reference checks for shortlisted candidates. We offer competitive compensation of $25 per hour and are looking for someone who shares our values of kindness, learning, and cultural connection. Our goal is to create a fun, engaging Ukrainian-language environment for our daughter while ensuring she receives attentive and loving care.
