The Role
The School of Skilled Trades Grande Prairie is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Instructor for the Apprenticeship program. This is a tenure-track position based on a favourable budget and evaluations and will follow the contract flow of FY - FT Sessional SY - FT Annual and TY - FT Continuing
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Journeyperson/Red Seal certification in the related trade with a preferred minimum of five years of experience as a Journeyperson. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook;
strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
an entrepreneurial spirit specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
a high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
