The organization operates 805 long-term care beds and 308 seniors apartment units with an additional 224 long-term care beds opening in a new home by June 2026. In addition Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care a hospice residence and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network the organization serves more than 15000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.

Dietetics Office Clerk sponsored by the Government of Canada as per the Canada Summer Jobs Program (CSJ) 2026 initiative.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support to the Food Services department including verifying diet orders supplements and snacks updating resident food requirements conducting inventory etc.

• Assists in checking and data enters recipes in relation to the therapeutic needs for menus

• Audits diet databases in comparison with resident documentation

• Assists with measuring Dietary Reference Intake for different menus

• Assists with meal preparation and service

• Assists with inventory management

• Administrative support including data entry Chinese word-processing

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Rate: $17.60/hour

Qualifications:

• Must be between the ages of 15-30 years of age at the start of the job

• Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally able to work in Ontario

• Be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills

• Proven demonstrated initiative

• Good knowledge of MS Office applications

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work remotely as required

• Previous experience working with the elderly population an asset

• Good oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Chinese Japanese or a South-Asian language required for some positions.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
