Performance Auto Group is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our very busy Employee Services team in the GTA on an 18 month contract.

Reporting directly to the Group Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing duties pertaining to the company's payroll process. The position is based in Niagara and is a hybrid office/home-based role.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  • Bi-Weekly payroll data entry for 40+ locations in 2 different geographic regions (2 regional payroll cycles off-set)
  • Audit and reconcile a wide range of payroll transactions
  • Process bi-weekly commissions including guarantees, top-ups and recoups
  • Process monthly bonuses
  • Set up new hires in ADP
  • Prepare and analyze reports
  • Produce weekly GLI into ADP interface
  • Prepare WSIB for remittance
  • Assist with bi-weekly time and attendance reports
  • Provide superior customer service to employees with questions relating to their pay
  • Ensure termination process in payroll system and confirm ROE has been issued in a timely manner to Service Canada
  • Perform bi-weekly, monthly and yearly payroll reconciliations
  • Perform Year End payroll duties.
  • Must be able to take initiative and be able to perform independently and as a teamplayer
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 4 - 6 years full-cycle payroll processing experience in a high volume 2000+ employees required
  • PCP designation is required. Accounting or HR experience desired
  • ADP WFN Payroll Experience preferred
  • Strong Excel with Vlookup/Pivot tables is required
  • Experience with Reporting in ADP an asset
  • Experience with Time and Attendance systems is essential
  • Knowledge of Payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Accuracy and attention to detail of a high caliber
  • Superior English language oral and written communication skills
  • Sound computing skills required
  • Must exercise full discretion and confidentiality with information in an ethical and professional manner
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends as per business needs
  • Motor vehicle required

***This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience***

Job Type: Full Time - 18 month contract

Compensation: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
