High Angle Rescue Technician

Total Safety Services is hiring High Angle Rescue / Confined Space Rescue Technician for shift work of 2 weeks on 1 off. 1 week of High Angle Rescue Lead, 1 week of Confined Space Rescue Technician. We are seeking candidates with direct work experience in the Oil and Gas industry and valid Rope Rescue training . Candidates must be local to Bonnyville.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

• Perform high angle rescue stand-by;
• Assist in developing site-specific rescue plans and procedures;
• Perform on-site safety watch, confined space entry watch and atmospheric testing, spark / fire watch, and gas detection, as required;
• Provide support to ensure that all on-site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory / legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety;
• Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client's health and safety program, the Company's HSE program and all other applicable legislation;
• Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to influence safe behaviors and to create a safe working environment;
• Champion the Company's safety culture and safe work practices.
