Job Overview

Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managers working as a Field Support Representative (FSR) for Diagnostics will collaborate with an internal team to develop strategies and maintain customer accounts through education and other customer‑centric solutions. No two days are the same, and you’ll spend your time in the field building relationships, solving problems, and supporting customer success. Responsibilities

You’ll travel up to 75% of the time (5+ days of car travel per week and 6‑8+ overnights per month); weekend hours and weekday overtime may also be required. You would install and train the staff in the clinic on the best way to use IDEXX analyzers (e.g., ProCyte, Catalyst One, SediVue, InVue). You’ll support critical customer visits, providing onsite technical troubleshooting when things don’t go according to plan. You’ll work remotely from a home‑based office. You’ll utilize a wide array of programs to plan and strategize your customer visits, enabling you to serve as a true IDEXX Ambassador and be viewed by your customers as a trusted partner. You’ll manage your schedule based on the unique attributes and needs of your customers, while also keeping a focus on your own professional development and growth. Qualifications

3+ years of experience working in a veterinary practice or similar work experience. Familiarity with IDEXX products. Must be fluent in French & English. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Residency in the Montreal East, QC area and willingness to travel within this territory and occasionally outside of this territory as needed (if outside the territory, self‑relocation would be required). Ability to build and maintain relationships to gain confidence and trust from others. Strong communication and ability to collaborate with customers, management, and peers. Planning and prioritization skills, to make quality, timely decisions. Effective listening skills, to discover customer needs and adapt your approach and demeanor to different situations. Comfort learning and using technology such as computers, tablets and smart phones (computer networking experience is a plus). Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, including extending and reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools; plus, occasionally climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crouching; and lifting, moving, and carrying up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities including close vision, colour vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and employees via telephone and in person. Ability to effectively communicate in English with customers and team members. Ability to travel and work within the assigned area, drive car for extended periods, and work and/or have contact with animals. Benefits

Vous gérerez votre horaire en fonction des caractéristiques et des besoins uniques de vos clients, tout en gardant un focus sur votre propre développement et votre croissance professionnelle. Compétences nécessaires

3 ans ou plus d’expérience en pratique vétérinaire ou expérience de travail similaire. Familiarité avec les produits IDEXX. Doit maîtriser couramment le français et l’anglais. Permis de conduire valide et dossier de conduite acceptable requis. Résider dans le territoire indiqué et être disposé à voyager à l’intérieur de ce territoire et occasionnellement à l’extérieur au besoin (si à l’extérieur du territoire, une relocalisation autonome serait requise). Capacité à bâtir et maintenir des relations afin de gagner la confiance des autres. Solides compétences en communication et capacité à collaborer avec les clients, la direction et les collègues. Compétences en planification et en priorisation afin de prendre des décisions de qualité en temps opportun. Excellentes aptitudes d’écoute pour identifier les besoins des clients et adapter votre approche et votre attitude à différentes situations. Aisance à apprendre et à utiliser des technologies telles que les ordinateurs, tablettes et téléphones intelligents (une expérience en réseautique informatique est un atout). Capacité à effectuer les aspects physiques du rôle, incluant s’étirer et atteindre avec les mains et les bras, utiliser les mains et les doigts pour manipuler, presser, tordre et utiliser des objets, des commandes et des outils ; ainsi que, à l’occasion, grimper, garder l’équilibre, se pencher, s’accroupir ou s’agenouiller ; et soulever, déplacer et transporter jusqu’à 60 livres. Capacités visuelles spécifiques incluant la vision de près, la perception des couleurs, la perception de la profondeur et la capacité d’ajuster la mise au point. Acuité auditive suffisante pour communiquer efficacement avec les clients et les employés via téléphone et en personne. Capacité de communiquer efficacement en anglais avec les clients et les membres de l’équipe.
