  • Lead incident response and investigations. Provide first-response support, lead root cause analyses, and contribute to corrective action plans that prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver purposeful training. Support onboarding and refresher training for drivers and operations staff in partnership with the safety and dispatch teams.
  • Coach to strengthen compliance. Guide drivers and field staff on safe loading and unloading practices, hazardous materials handling, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Own field risk identification. Identify and address hazards proactively by working with operations, leadership, and customers to implement practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Support the Drug and Alcohol Program. Serve as an internal collector and promote safety-focused substance awareness with professionalism and discretion.
  • Engage with teams and customers. Help align safety priorities with day-to-day dispatch needs, and identify opportunities to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What you bring:

  • Three (3) years of related safety experience in the transportation industry.
  • A Class 1/AZ driver’s license is required
  • Overnight travel to various sites may be required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong written communication skills to accurately document incident events, investigation results, and outcomes for internal and external audiences.
  • Good working knowledge of the transportation industry and its operations, including a variety of commodities and dangerous goods.
  • An OH&S certificate or related courses are considered assets.
  • Knowledge of the dispatch system, TMW, is considered an asset.

Total Compensation:

  • Competitive wages, company matched RRSP/DPSP savings program, bonus opportunity, scholarships program for employee’s children and referral reward payments up to $2,000 available per successful hire (certain conditions apply)

We have a strong culture of teamwork, with a balance of seriousness and fun. If you want to contribute to KAG's excellent tradition of innovation and leadership in the logistics and transportation industry, we invite you to apply!

External applicants in consideration will adhere to a company-paid criminal record search.

We are committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive culture where ALL employees and partners feel valued and appreciated for their uniqueness and contributions.
