Join our team and get ready to explore, take risks, make mistakes, and learn all day, every day. We’ll support your goals with tools, opportunities, and flexibility. It’s our employee promise.

Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.

Ready to make your mark?

About the role

Are you passionate about events? Are you creative and able to transform virtual, in-person or hybrid events into opportunities for exchange and engagement? Are you always looking for the wow! factor and on the lookout for web and mobile solutions that will make your events more interactive and engaging for participants?

We are looking for a Senior Communications Advisor, Events, who will be responsible for designing and implementing creative event strategies and turning them into inspiring experiences for all IT+Labs employees across Canada (+3,000). Reporting to the Manager, IT+Labs Communications, your organizational skills, project management skills, creativity and versatility will be called upon daily to create impactful event concepts and execute them with passion and precision.

Among others, the IT+Labs Communications team is responsible for the creation and implementation of numerous large-scale, high-visibility internal and external events. We organize activities and events for employees and managers (including monthly or quarterly information meetings, recognition events, informal exchanges and forums with senior management, etc.), as well as external events designed to raise awareness of the IT and Digital & Data Labs teams and promote our brand as an employer of choice in technology.

Dedicated to providing quality communication services to Intact’s COO, to over fifteen senior executives and 3,000 technology experts, the IT+Labs Communications team is a team that values mutual support, learning, and autonomy, all while having a good time! Your professional skills will be just as important as your personal and relational qualities (as well as your sense of humour, a considerable asset!).

Workplace: Montreal, Ste-Hyacinthe, Quebec City, Toronto, St-John's

What you’ll do here:

  • Collaborate with IT and Digital & Data Labs managers and employees and a wide range of stakeholders, including other business units, operations partners, talent acquisition and human resources teams, to develop high-quality events.
  • Propose original, creative, and impactful event concepts that will meet the strategic objectives of the IT+Labs management team and contribute to increasing employees’ sense of belonging and engagement.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute all logistical, material and financial aspects related to the development and implementation of internal and external events.

Prepare detailed timetables to effectively demonstrate project progress.

Work out budget planning for each project.

Achieve event objectives while respecting budgets and timelines.

Create and develop all content required for events (e.g., presentation, photos, video, interactive content, printing, promotional items, etc.), with the help of internal and external suppliers, as required.

In collaboration with the IT+Labs Communications team, handle the drafting and dissemination of event-related communications.

Negotiate agreements with external suppliers based on event needs and coordinate their work.

Be present on site at events.

Measure and evaluate the spinoff of events (debrief, satisfaction surveys, etc.) and suggest improvements where necessary.

  • Listen, advise, and assist internal customers in the organization of their events.
  • Help with the planning and execution of external events for IT+Labs teams and/or their executives, in collaboration with HR teams.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and trends in event organization and make recommendations for the implementation of ever more innovative and engaging activities.
  • Contribute to various other tasks or projects, depending on the team's mandates and your skills.

Skills required:

  • Excellent even planning and project management skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Focused on results and striving for excellence
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Thoroughness, meticulousness, attention to detail and quality
  • Proactivity and desire to bring new ways of doing things to the event industry
  • Able to interact with senior executives

What you bring to the table:
