Lead Software Developer is an exciting role for a software engineer to drive design and development of complex technology solutions that improve operational excellence and stability of the Retail Investments Technology platform. What will you do?
Lead and drive the end-to-end design of Retail Investments Core Systems in the platform Resilience and Maintenance space. Lead implementation of AI-based solutions that improve development efficiencies and strengthen application safety. Identify, develop, and implement AI-driven automation solutions to replace manual workflows and streamline Core Banking operational processes. Guide a team of engineers in adopting AI-driven debugging, root-cause analysis, and automated remediation tools to reduce incident resolution time. Own the technical delivery roadmap, establishing and enforcing engineering standards, software delivery practices, and quality gates. Collaborate with fellow Lead developers to adopt Shift-Left principles on maintenance and operations requirements, prioritizing long-term maintainability, stability, and observability. Resolve complex issues and enable decisions that balance project priorities and strategic needs. Plan work, resources, and lead development activities to achieve goals within approved time frames, scope, and budget. Mentor and coach technical leads across multiple tech squads. What do you need to succeed?
Mainframe expertise: proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DFSORT, IMS, CICS, DB2, and TSO/ISPF. Generative AI mastery: hands‑on experience with AI design principles, platforms, and tools. AI solution implementation: proven track record of deploying AI solutions to address domain‑specific business challenges. Technical and leadership skills: strong interpersonal skills, ownership, and leadership in cross‑functional teams, with at least 10 years of IT development experience. Modern development practices: Agile delivery, DevOps automation (UrbanCodeDeploy, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible), and thought leadership in business value. What's in it for you?
