Job descriptionCONFIDENTIAL EXECUTIVE SEARCH — RETAINED — CANADA Chief Hospitality Officer
A luxury brand builder for a company in full flight
THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is one of Canada's most exciting hospitality growth stories — a multi-brand company with a passionate founder-CEO at the helm, an expanding portfolio of premium resort and wellness properties, and the ambition to become a defining name in experiential travel across North America.
This is not a maintenance role. It is not a "keep the lights on" role. It is a seat at the table for someone who wants to
build
— to shape a brand's next chapter from the inside, with the authority, resources, and entrepreneurial latitude to make it happen.
Three new nordic spa and resort properties are opening across Canada and the United States within the year. Approximately 700 new team members will be recruited over the next 15 months. The company is moving fast, with more growth on the horizon — and the founder-CEO needs a true hospitality leader beside her who can translate vision into operational reality, without losing an ounce of brand soul in the process.
The Chief Hospitality Officer will be the most senior executive in the hospitality division — accountable for everything from service culture and guest experience, to multi-property operations, brand standards, financial performance, and leadership development. This is as close as it gets to running your own company, without the downside risk of investment exposure.
WHO YOU ARE You have spent 15 or more years building your career inside some of the world's finest hotel and resort brands — companies that treat luxury not as a price point, but as a philosophy. You understand intimately what makes an Aman different from any other resort, why Six Senses creates devotion rather than loyalty points, and how brands like One&Only and Four Seasons consistently deliver experiences that guests relive for decades.
But here's what sets you apart: you're restless. You've mastered the playbook of the established brand, and now you want to write your own. You think like an owner. You see opportunity in a blank org chart. You're energized — not intimidated — by the idea of building systems, culture, and teams from the ground up.
You are currently at VP level or above. You're likely in your early-to-mid career peak, with enough hard‑won experience to move confidently and enough runway ahead to build something lasting. A title on a business card matters far less to you than what you're actually building.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Full operational performance across all resort and spa properties
Guest experience design, delivery, and continuous elevation
Brand standards, quality assurance, and consistency at scale
P&L accountability across the hospitality division
Senior leadership team development and organizational design
Operational readiness for new property openings across North America
Revenue strategy — occupancy, ADR, and ancillary revenue growth
Executive partnership with the founder-CEO on long‑range strategy
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE This role is structured to attract someone who thinks like an owner — because over time, you may become one.
Base salary:
$200,000 – $300,000 CAD, commensurate with experience
Profit sharing:
Meaningful performance‑linked upside tied directly to company results
Equity pathway:
Long‑term equity participation available for the right candidate
Location:
Flexible — Toronto or Calgary or Seattle are ideal though other locations may work, with regular travel to properties across Canada and the United States
THE PROFILE
Currently or recently at VP level or above within a recognized luxury hospitality brand
Multi‑property or multi‑brand operational leadership experience
Proven ability to scale teams and operations without sacrificing service quality or culture
Strong financial acumen — this is a business leadership role with full P&L accountability
Entrepreneurial orientation: you move quickly, make decisions, and own the outcomes
Canadian or US work authorization
IN CLOSING If you have built a career inside the world's best hospitality brands and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of that career — building something from the inside out, at pace, with real stake in the outcome — we want to hear from you.
