The Team

The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre Team is a passionate, multidisciplinary team committed to making a real difference for young people across British Columbia. We work together to provide comprehensive mental health care that is culturally safe, evidence-based, and focused on assessment, treatment, and follow-up. The Role

A Program Coordinator at the Maples ensures that programs align with organizational goals by overseeing day-to-day activities. Leading with vision and strategy while fostering an inclusive, positive workspace ensures collaboration thrives. The work of Program Coordinator helps create stability and support for young people with complex mental health needs across the province. If you enjoy hands-on problem-solving, this position offers the opportunity to meaningfully and collaboratively evolve program and service delivery at the Maples.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Social Work (Clinical Specialty or equivalent training / education), Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive experience working within the mental health, or substance use, service delivery system.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

Preference may be given to applicants with the following :

  • Ph.D. degree in Child & Youth Care or Social Sciences (e.g. Criminology, Psychology), Social Work or Health Care Administration.
  • Successful completion of any post-graduate development courses related to the treatment of adolescents with mental illness or problems of conduct.
  • Extensive on-site care experience in a mental health setting.
  • Progressive experience in various social services such as child protection, services for community living, youth justice and community mental health services.
  • Leadership, supervisory / management training.
  • Courses in management, human resources and / or health care administration.
  • Registration of Licensure with a regulatory college or recognized professional association (RSW, RCC, CCC, etc.).

    About this Position

    Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

    An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and / or temporary vacancies.

    A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
