Job Title: Production Worker
Job Overview
The Production Worker supports a high‑tech electronics manufacturing environment by assembling, testing, and packaging products along a production line. Working primarily at a seated workstation, this role follows detailed diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while using hand tools and computer systems. The position requires strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and pack products according to SOPs and quality standards
- Apply chemicals to circuit boards and assist with testing activities
- Perform final assembly and packaging, ensuring components are properly installed
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque tools (including changing bits)
- Read and follow diagrams and on‑screen instructions using computer systems like SharePoint
- Complete electronic and paper documentation accurately
- Support other production areas as needed (SMT, hand soldering, testing, inventory)
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety and PPE requirements
- Handle materials and finished goods, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets
- Participate in cross‑training opportunities across departments
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of production or manufacturing experience
- Comfortable using hand tools and performing detail‑oriented, repetitive work
- Strong English skills for reading documentation and diagrams
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Ability to distinguish colours and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Team‑oriented with a positive, reliable work ethic
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Electronic assembly experience
- SMT or hand soldering experience
- Interest in learning advanced processes such as SMT, soldering, or CNC laser

Work Environment & Schedule
- Large, clean production facility with a team of 50 employees
- Work is primarily seated using hand tools, computers, and test equipment
- PPE provided (smock, shoe covers, ear protection, goggles as required)
- Primary shift: PM shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Day shift training required for the first few months

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnaby, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.
