This position is ideal for Mental Health Support Workers and candidates with DSW, SSW, or CYW backgrounds seeking full-time or part-time contract opportunities supporting residential mental health and addiction recovery programs across Smiths Falls and Brockville. This role offers $24–27/hour (depending on experience and location), consistent hours, and the opportunity to work in structured, team-based environments. About the Opportunity You will be supporting a community-based mental health and addictions organization delivering 24/7 care across residential group homes, treatment programs, and supported living environments. Clients may present with complex mental health needs, addictions, and dual diagnoses, requiring consistent, hands-on support. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Support clients with activities of daily living (hygiene, meals, routines) Assist with medication prompting and monitoring Build therapeutic relationships and support recovery goals Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment Support crisis situations and de-escalation when required Complete documentation and communicate with care teams Qualifications & Requirements Diploma in DSW, SSW, CYW, Addictions & Mental Health, or related field Experience in mental health, addictions, or residential care preferred Valid CPR/First Aid Vulnerable Sector Check (within 1 year) TB test (within 6 months) Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred Additional Details Full-time and part-time hours available (anticipated 4–6 weeks, potential extension) 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (days, evenings, nights) Compensation: $24–27/hour (depending on experience and location) Mileage reimbursement: $0.60/km Accommodation support available for select assignments Open to candidates commuting or temporarily relocating ⸻ Why Apply Through HealthOPM HealthOPM supports healthcare professionals across Canada with flexible contract opportunities, competitive compensation, and streamlined placement processes.
