Specifically, there is a need for experienced Screed personnel.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate screed, anticipating and react to grade changesUnderstand job specific requirementsRead and understand grade and slope requirementsAssist with site lay out makingsUse depth gauges and visual checks to maintain the required compacted thicknessMonitor mat quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth, uniform finishComplete equipment inspections and do routine maintenance of equipment before and after useFollow all company safety procedures and site requirements while staying alert to changing surroundingsCommunicate effectively with supervisors and crew membersQualificationsTwo years preferred experience operating a screed with strong attention to detailGood understanding of grade control and asphalt paving processesAbility to work as part of a crew in variable outdoor conditions and in a physically demanding environmentCommitted to a safe & accountable team environmentAble to communicate effectively and respectfullyValid Class 5 Driver's LicenseWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonWith over seven decades in business, Border Paving Ltd. offers long term stability, consistent work and opportunities for growth.
