Buyer (Electronics)

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization is looking to hire a Buyer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Procure and place orders for goods, materials and services.
• Use ERP systems to review material requirements
• Research and survey buying markets in order to source optimal suppliers.
• Keep material related information up to date and accurate in the ERP system
• Handle shipping arrangements, and arrange for customer processing when required.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies .
• Negotiate return of items to vendors.

Qualifications:

• Education: University or college degree in material managing, purchasing or business administration.
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience.
• Experience with purchasing electronics an asset.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
