We are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety co-op student to join our Health and Safety for a 4-month placement.

Support the ATCO Gas & Pipelines Health & Safety team by assisting with safety communications field activities data analysis and onboarding materials. Gain handson experience with safety programs inspections and industry regulatory requirements.

Who you are:

• Mustbe enrolled in aco-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.

• Enrolled in an OHS science engineering or related program

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable working in both field and office environments

• Basic data analysis skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Valid Class 5 drivers license

What you will do:

• Create safety campaign materials and update safety content in systems like Intelex and SharePoint
• Assist with facility and field inspections documenting hazards and verifying controls
• Participate in field tailgate meetings and team meetings to support safety initiatives
• Analyze safety statistics and contribute to reporting and trend identification
• Support onboarding by preparing orientation and training materials
• Conduct legislation and internal standards gap analyses
• Assist with organizing files updating safety program documents and other administrative tasks
