Job description

Join to apply for the Commercialization Product Manager role at SNDL Inc.

SNDL is a public company whose shares are traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol "SNDL." SNDL is the largest private-sector liquor and cannabis retailer in Canada with retail banners that include Ace Liquor, Wine and Beyond, Liquor Depot, Value Buds, Spiritleaf, and Firesale Cannabis. SNDL is a licensed cannabis producer and one of the largest vertically integrated cannabis companies in Canada specializing in low-cost biomass sourcing, indoor cultivation, product innovation, low-cost manufacturing facilities, and a cannabis brand portfolio that includes Top Leaf, Contraband, Palmetto, Bon Jak, Versus, Value Buds, and Vacay. SNDL\'s investment portfolio seeks to deploy strategic capital through direct and indirect investments and partnerships throughout the North American cannabis industry.

Reporting to the Director, Sales Strategy & Commercialization, the Commercialization Product Manager is responsible for leading the commercialization process of new cannabis products from a sales and go-to-market perspective.

We\'re looking for a driven, collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role is ideal for someone excited to contribute to a global pioneer in the cannabis industry while navigating the complexities of a regulated and competitive market.

You will play a critical role in bringing new products to life—from ideation through to launch—by managing timelines, aligning cross-functional teams, and supporting the commercialization process to meet key sales milestones, including provincial submissions and key commercial initiatives. Success in this role requires strong coordination, attention to detail, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.

WORK LOCATION:

The ideal candidate will be based at our Kelowna, British Columbia or Toronto, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on a wide range of legal cannabis products, including vapes, concentrates, edibles, and beverages.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the innovation portfolio in alignment with commercial benchmarks and product brand guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the commercialization of new products—from concept to launch—delivering on time and within scope.
  • Lead regular project check-ins with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.
  • Support a successful category pre-sell and provincial submission process for new products leading up to market launch, including presenting and transferring product knowledge to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and leverage competitive and consumer trends within the cannabis industry and related CPG sectors.
  • Assess and identify risks and opportunities within key projects using a solution-oriented approach.
  • Champion the execution and implementation of commercial changes and improvements, as applicable.
  • Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales Strategy & Commercialization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in cannabis, beverage alcohol, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other regulated industries
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and launching new products in a regulated market
  • Knowledge of cannabis, including vapes, concentrates, and/or extraction processes, is an asset
  • Strong project management skills, including creating and managing timelines, tracking actions, and ensuring deadlines are met through effective workback planning
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and focused on practical, solution-driven outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in using data and metrics to support decisions and drive results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

As a valued member of the SNDL team, you will enjoy

  • Competitive total compensation and incentives
  • A top-notch extended benefits package including medical, extended health, and a healthcare spending account
  • An entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learning

We are grateful for the interest in this role from all candidates; however, we will be contacting only those that are selected for next steps in the hiring process.

Diversity & Inclusion

SNDL is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a welcoming, inclusive, diverse and safe workplace where all of our team members have equal opportunity to succeed. We know this begins with recruitment. To honor our commitment, SNDL encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds, sexual orientation, gender identity, ancestry, ages and abilities.
