Overview

Join the Family Physician - Private Clinic role at Interior Health Authority and join the Lillooet Medical Clinic team in our un-opposed clinic. You will have a rewarding opportunity to practice full-service rural medicine and collaborate with surrounding first nations (40% indigenous population) outreach programs in various first nation communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service rural family medicine at Lillooet Medical Clinic.
• Clinic hours are 9 : 00 to 4 : 30; the weekly schedule may vary with ED on-call rotation; no clinic days after on-call shifts in the ED.
• Collaborate with first nations outreach programs in surrounding communities (40% indigenous population).
• Within the medical community, access to the opioid alternative clinic and MAID.
• Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre (LIH) serves approximately 7500 people; LIH has 6 ED beds (including 1 trauma bed) and 6 inpatient beds (max 8-10 if needed); ED operates 24 / 7 and the long-term care facility is attached.
• Several locum opportunities are available.
• Live and work in a mountain region with access to hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and a full-service recreation centre.
