The Opportunity

Reporting to the Department Superintendent, the Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a high‑performance team of unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and line efficiencies within the Brampton Corrugated Operations.

What You’ll Do

• Leading and supervising a team of unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and productivity in the Corrugated Operations.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OHS standards; that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled; and workers use the prescribed safety equipment.
• Maintain and enforce quality standards including food safety (GMP) and good housekeeping protocols, support operations in customer and third‑party audits.
• Develop plans to ensure annual KPI objectives are achieved for safety, product quality, efficiencies and cost, providing direction and support to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and performance manage workers with emphasis on frequent communication, feedback and promoting a high level of teamwork and engagement.
• Plan the effective and efficient scheduling of labour, equipment and material resources for Corrugated Operations.
• Provide expertise and direction in the determination of equipment, parts and materials needed and coordinating preventative maintenance needs.
• Foster strong relationships and communication with internal and external departments and stakeholders.
• Coach and enforce specific safety rules and behaviours ensuring timely and accurate reporting of accidents / incidents and proactive prevention measures.
• Provide daily feedback to workers on performance and conduct performance reviews with direct reports.
• Facilitate crew meetings to ensure current safety, quality and production related issues are considered and resolved.
• Administration and application of the collective agreement and Company policies / procedures.
• Other operational duties assigned by Superintendent as required.
