CAD Industries ferroviaires est une socit qubcoise ambitieuse, en activits depuis plus de 60 ans, spcialise dans la rparation, la conversion et le reconditionnement dquipements ferroviaires roulant (wagons et locomotives en tous genres) qui avons des ateliers et bureaux Montral (secteur Lachine) et en Alberta (sous la bannire Caltrax).
Au fil des ans, notre mission sest prcise afin de devenir une entreprise responsable qui cherche notamment rparer et prolonger la vie des quipements dont nos clients nous confient les travaux ou encore, dans plusieurs situations, de les moderniser et leur donner littralement une 2me vie.
Dans leurs projets, nos quipes voient donc designer des quipements qui rpondront aux besoins de ces mmes clients qui uvrent autant du cot marchandise que passagers.
Rsum du poste:
Relevant du Directeur des oprations, le planificateur ou la planificatrice de production est responsable de la planification et de lallocation des ressources dans latelier afin datteindre les objectifs de production, principalement en ce qui concerne nos wagons de fret ferroviaire, et ce, conformment nos engagements envers nos clients.
Principales responsabilits:
- Crer, maintenir et communiquer le calendrier matre de production;
- Surveiller la performance quotidienne afin de sassurer que les objectifs de production sont atteints;
- Identifier de manire proactive les contraintes de planification et anticiper les retards potentiels, en assurant une communication rapide avec les dpartements concerns;
- Utiliser et amliorer continuellement les programmes de suivi afin datteindre les objectifs daffaires;
- Prsider les runions de production en fournissant des informations exactes et jour pour soutenir la planification et la prise de dcision;
- Grer la disposition des connaissements des wagons complts dans les systmes externes;
- Prparer et distribuer les rapports quotidiens destins aux parties prenantes internes et externes;
- Effectuer toute autre tche requise pour soutenir les oprations.
Qualifications requises:
- Minimum de cinq (5) annes dexprience dans un environnement de fabrication industrielle au sein dune installation de production multi-dpartements;
- Matrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Access), avec des comptences avances en Excel;
- Solide capacit manipuler, analyser et synthtiser les donnes; habilet dans la production de rapports et linterprtation des indicateurs de production et de capacit;
- Excellentes aptitudes en gestion du temps, en organisation et en rsolution de problmes;
- Capacit travailler de manire autonome avec une approche proactive pour identifier et rsoudre les problmes;
- Diplme dtudes postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe dun tablissement reconnu (atout important);
- Exprience dans un atelier de rparation de vhicules (atout important);
- Connaissance des programmes MYCPR, CN et Railcar RX (atout).

CAD Railway Industries is an ambitious Quebec-based company that has been in operation for over 60 years. We specialize in the repair, conversion, and refurbishment of rolling railway equipment (various types of wagons and locomotives) with workshops and offices in Montreal (Lachine area) and Alberta (under the Caltrax banner).

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and allocating resources in the shop to meet production targets, mainly concerning our Rail Freight Cars, in accordance with our commitment toward our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule;
- Monitor daily performance to ensure production targets are met;
- Proactively identify scheduling constraints and anticipate potential delays, ensuring early communication with relevant departments;
- Utilize and continuously improve tracking programs to meet business objectives;
- Chair production meetings, providing accurate and timely scheduling information to support planning and decision-making;
- Manage waybill disposition of completed cars within external systems;
- Prepare and distribute daily reports for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Perform additional tasks as required to support operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment within a multi-department production facility;
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Access), with advanced skills in Excel;
- Strong ability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize data; skilled in reporting and interpreting production and capacity metrics;
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Completion of a related diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution (strong asset);
- Experience in a vehicle repair facility (strong asset);
- Familiarity with MYCPR, CN, and Railcar RX program (asset).
