TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Control Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor the cost control team.
- Perform cost risk assessments and provide updates to management.
- Develop and oversee cost estimates and budget allocations.
- Track and report cost deviations, suggesting corrective actions.
- Spearhead cost control initiatives for project proposals.
- Set up and maintain cost baselines, ensuring consistent monitoring and updates.
- Administer the cost change management process.
- Formulate and execute a cost management plan within the Project Execution Plan.
- Ensure adherence to cost-related contractual obligations.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a bachelor's degree, along with 15 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position.
- Experience in the mining industry is a must.
- Essential technical expertise is required to perform the role effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
- Proficiency in conveying information clearly to various groups including management, clients, coworkers, visitors, vendors or contractors.
- Capability to understand and implement knowledge of relevant local, regional, and national laws and regulations.
