PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program ofPearson LIFT(Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canadas largest airport for the future of air travelincluding critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
The Document Controller is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and administering document management and control processes across the project lifecycle. This role ensures that all project documentation is accurate, current, secure, and compliant with contractual, regulatory, and airport-specific requirements, supporting effective communication and audit readiness throughout design and construction phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain the project document control system in accordance with PACT procedures
- Ensure all project documents are correctly named, version-controlled, dated, classified, and archived
- Manage the receipt, logging, distribution, and tracking of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Ensure drawings and documents are issued in accordance with approved transmittals and that superseded documents are archived
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure compliance with airport standards, CAD / BIM requirements, and document numbering conventions
- Log and track submittals, RFIs, technical queries, and responses, monitoring turnaround times and escalating overdue items as required
- Enforce document access controls and manage distribution of sensitive or confidential information
- Maintain records of revisions, changes, directives, early warnings, notices, and related correspondence
- Issue meeting minutes, action registers, RAID logs, and decision logs, tracking actions to closure
- Maintain correspondence registers and formal communication records
- Control construction-phase documentation, including drawings, change notices, site instructions, inspection records, test results, and quality documentation
- Support compliance, audit readiness, and internal or external reviews by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and traceable
WORK CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular visits to the site offices as required. This position is 5 days per week with core hours of work between approximately 8 : 00am5 : 00pm with 1 hour lunch or as agreed upon with your manager. All employees must complete a RAIC and Criminal background check.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES
